New X-treme Smile Booster 2.0: Professional PAP Whitening Gel Renewed

At X-treme Smile, we continue to develop our products based on practical professional use. That is why we are introducing Booster 2.0: our renewed professional PAP whitening gel for cosmetic teeth whitening treatments.

Booster was already the alternative within our range for professionals who prefer working with a PAP-based formula. With Booster 2.0, we have not only looked at the active formula, but also at the stability, handling and packaging of the gel.

What is Booster 2.0?

X-treme Smile Booster 2.0 is a peroxide-free cosmetic whitening gel based on 18% PAP (Phthalimidoperoxycaproic Acid).

PAP is a whitening ingredient used differently from our well-known Pink Whitening Gel based on sodium percarbonate. This allows professionals to choose between different types of whitening gels within the X-treme Smile range, depending on their preferred treatment method and the teeth they are treating.

Booster 2.0 is manufactured in Europe and developed for professional cosmetic teeth whitening treatments.

What has changed in Booster 2.0?

During the development of the new Booster formula, extra attention was paid to the properties of the gel during storage and professional use.

The renewed formula offers:

18% PAP
Improved gel stability
More homogeneous distribution of the ingredients
Reduced risk of separation
Renewed premium packaging
An integrated viewing and control window
A 6-month PAO after opening

This means Booster 2.0 is not only a renewed formula, but has also been further improved with professional day-to-day use in mind.

PAP Whitening Gel or Pink Whitening Gel?

Both whitening gels within the X-treme Smile range have their own characteristics.

Our well-known Pink Whitening Gel is based on sodium percarbonate. It has a relatively thick consistency and a clearly visible pink colour. This makes it easy to see exactly where the gel has been applied and helps it remain in place during treatment.

Booster 2.0 is based on PAP and has a thinner consistency. It is therefore applied in a thinner layer and is less visually prominent during treatment.

There is no single whitening gel that is automatically the best choice for every set of teeth.

Teeth and discolourations vary from person to person and may therefore respond differently to a whitening treatment. This is why many professionals prefer to work with more than one type of whitening gel.

When Should You Choose Booster?

Booster 2.0 is particularly suitable for professionals who want to work with a PAP-based, peroxide-free formula for cosmetic teeth whitening treatments.

Because the consistency differs from Pink Whitening Gel, the application technique is also slightly different. Booster is applied in a relatively thin layer.

When choosing a whitening gel, it is therefore useful to consider not only the active ingredient, but also factors such as:

The original tooth shade
The type of discolouration
The structure of the teeth
Previous whitening treatments
How the teeth respond during treatment

The final whitening result may vary from person to person.

Combining Booster and Pink Within a Treatment Strategy

Pink Whitening Gel and Booster do not necessarily have to compete with each other.

Because both formulas have different properties, they can be used alongside each other as part of a professional treatment strategy. For example, a professional may start with Pink Whitening Gel and choose Booster during a later treatment if the teeth or remaining discolouration suggest that a different approach may be suitable.

A good assessment of the teeth remains more important than using the same whitening gel for every client.
