Tooth Gem Course: learn professional tooth gem placement

Would you like to learn how to place Tooth Gems, crystal tooth gems and tooth jewellery professionally? During the X-treme Smile® Tooth Gem Course, you learn step by step how to work carefully on natural teeth: from assessing and preparing the tooth surface to bonding, positioning, curing and aftercare.

You learn not only what to do during a Tooth Gem treatment, but more importantly why each step matters. This helps you understand materials, bonding and practical situations rather than simply memorising a procedure.

No specific prior qualification required Online course with video lessons Practical assessment Certificate after approval Personal support

You do not receive your certificate simply by watching videos

After working through the course and practising the technique, you perform a Tooth Gem placement yourself on a model. You show us the important steps and final result in a practical video.

X-treme Smile® personally assesses your work. If a component is not yet satisfactory, you receive feedback and can complete it again. Your certificate is issued after the required practical assessment has been approved.

How the Tooth Gem Course works

The course combines theory, demonstration and practical application. You work through the different components in a logical order before applying the technique yourself.

1

Theory & professional knowledge

You begin with the knowledge needed to understand what you are doing during a Tooth Gem treatment and which considerations are important.

2

Video lessons

The video lessons clearly demonstrate the practical stages of preparation, bonding, positioning and curing.

3

Practise the technique

You then apply the technique yourself and practise the placement on your own model using suitable materials.

4

Practical video

You create a clear video showing the relevant treatment stages and the final result.

5

Personal assessment

Our team assesses your work. If something can be improved, you receive feedback and the opportunity to practise further.

6

Certificate

After successfully completing the required theory and practical components, you receive your personal X-treme Smile® Tooth Gem certificate.

Practical assessment & certificate

Practical application is an important part of the X-treme Smile® Tooth Gem Course. Watching theory and video lessons alone does not show how you perform the technique yourself.

That is why your own Tooth Gem placement is also assessed before certification. We look at the relevant treatment stages as well as the final result.

  • Theory and practical work form part of the completion requirements.
  • You perform a Tooth Gem placement on your own model.
  • Your practical video is personally assessed.
  • You receive feedback if a component still needs improvement.
  • You can repeat a component that has not yet been approved.
  • Your certificate is issued after successful completion.

What does the X-treme Smile® Tooth Gem certificate mean?

Your certificate demonstrates that you have completed the X-treme Smile® Tooth Gem Course and successfully completed the required theory and practical components.

It is a training certificate issued by X-treme Smile®. It is not a government-issued diploma, professional licence or general legal authorisation to provide Tooth Gem treatments in every country. Laws, regulations and professional requirements may differ by country or region.

Tooth Gem training grounded in dental knowledge

Dental model used to explain the tooth surface and dental anatomy during the Tooth Gem Course
Understanding the tooth surface and relevant dental fundamentals forms an important part of the course.

At X-treme Smile®, Tooth Gem training is not only about the final result. We believe it is important that you understand what happens on the tooth surface, why each stage of the bonding process matters and where the professional boundaries of a cosmetic Tooth Gem treatment lie.

Rather than simply copying a treatment procedure, you develop a better understanding of why certain choices during treatment are appropriate and why others are not.

Who is behind the course?

X-treme Smile® training programmes are developed under the direction of Jitske Hoff, owner of X-treme Smile®, who has a dental background as a dental assistant and many years of practical experience with professional cosmetic treatments.

X-treme Smile® has been training and supporting professionals since 2010. Our courses focus not only on performing a technique, but also on understanding materials, the tooth surface, professional working methods and the boundaries of cosmetic treatment.

Knowledge from multiple disciplines

The development and support of our training combines dental knowledge and educational backgrounds in areas including dental assisting, dental technology and dental hygiene, together with practical experience with Tooth Gems, bonding products and curing lights.

Understand rather than copy

A clear procedure is important, but real-life situations are not always identical. That is why we explain how moisture control, product use, positioning and curing can influence the placement.

Recognising professional boundaries

Professional practice also means knowing when not to treat. If there is uncertainty about the tooth surface or another dental consideration, the client should first seek appropriate dental advice.

Personal assessment & support

The course does not end with watching instructions. Your practical work is assessed, and after completing the course you can continue to contact X-treme Smile® with technical questions about materials and placement techniques.

“You learn to bake bread from a baker;
you learn to place Tooth Gems from professionals with dental knowledge.

Personal support does not end after your course

Many practical questions only arise once you start working independently with clients. That is why our support does not end when you complete the course.

  • Questions about Tooth Gems, materials and products.
  • Support with bonding and placement techniques.
  • Guidance with practical situations.
  • Questions about curing lights and professional tools.
  • Help analysing a placement that has not lasted as expected.
  • Personal support from X-treme Smile®.

Who is the Tooth Gem Course suitable for?
