Professional peroxide-free whitening with Booster 2.0 PAP
The X-treme Smile® Booster Teeth Whitening Kit 3 ml is a complete professional single-client whitening kit with our Booster 2.0 PAP gel. The kit is designed for cosmetic teeth whitening treatments where you want the flexibility to respond to how the teeth react during treatment.
The Booster Gel contains 18% PAP and is completely peroxide-free. The gel has a relatively thin consistency and should therefore be applied in a thin, even layer to the visible natural tooth surface.
In professional practice, Booster is often used alongside our Pink Gel based on sodium percarbonate. If the teeth do not respond as expected after one or two treatment rounds with Pink, you can switch to Booster for the next round. The reverse is also possible. This allows you to adapt the treatment protocol during the treatment according to the teeth and type of discolouration.
Booster 2.0 Gel is based on 18% PAP. PAP stands for phthalimidoperoxycaproic acid and is used as an active whitening ingredient in peroxide-free cosmetic whitening products.
This means Booster uses a different whitening technology from products based on hydrogen peroxide or sodium percarbonate.
Booster 2.0 is deliberately thinner than our Pink Gel. The gel therefore does not need to be applied in a thick layer.
Apply Booster in a thin, even layer over the visible natural tooth surface. Using more product does not automatically produce a better whitening result.
An important principle within the X-treme Smile® whitening protocol is that not every set of teeth responds in the same way to the same gel.
For this reason, Pink and Booster are frequently used alongside each other in professional practice. They differ in active ingredient, consistency and application method and can therefore be used differently within the same treatment.
Begin the treatment with Pink or Booster based on the treatment protocol, the initial tooth shade and the type of discolouration.
After every treatment round, check how the teeth are responding and compare the shade with the starting point.
If the result is below what you would expect based on the initial situation, you can switch from Pink to Booster for the next treatment round.
If you started with Booster and the teeth show a limited response, the next round can instead be performed with Pink Gel.
The gel that produces the best response can differ from one client to another. Natural tooth shade, type of discolouration, tooth structure, previous whitening treatments and the individual response during treatment can all play a role.
For that reason, we do not recommend automatically using the same gel for every treatment round when the results suggest an adjustment may be appropriate. Assess the teeth between rounds and adapt the next stage of the treatment protocol where necessary.
Because Booster 2.0 is applied in a thin layer, only a limited amount of gel is required for each treatment round.
When correctly dosed, 3 ml is sufficient for approximately 4 to 5 treatment rounds. A standard treatment will often involve approximately three rounds, depending on the treatment protocol and the response of the teeth.
Applying Booster too thickly does not automatically improve the whitening result. Make sure the visible natural tooth surface is covered with a thin, even layer.
This also helps ensure efficient use of the 3 ml Booster Gel.
In addition to the whitening gel, the Booster Teeth Whitening Kit contains the main products and consumables required for one professional cosmetic treatment.
The included Pre-Treatment Spray / Activator is used as a preparatory step within the Booster protocol.
The spray helps prepare the tooth surface before the Booster Gel is applied and should be used according to the accompanying product and treatment instructions.
Booster 2.0 has been developed with a focus on improved stability and homogeneity of the gel. This reduces the likelihood of separation when the product is stored correctly.
Always check the condition of the product, its shelf life and the applicable product instructions before use.
After opening, Booster 2.0 has a PAO of 6 months, provided the product is stored according to the specified storage conditions.
The result of cosmetic teeth whitening varies from person to person. Natural tooth shade, type of discolouration, the condition and structure of the teeth, previous whitening treatments, application and the selected treatment protocol can all influence the final result.
Assess the starting shade before treatment and check the result after each treatment round using a professional shade guide.
A specific number of shades of improvement cannot be guaranteed in advance.
Whitening gels work on natural tooth tissue. Existing restorations such as crowns, veneers, bridges and composite fillings generally do not lighten in the same way.
Discuss this with the client before treatment to help prevent colour differences and unrealistic expectations.
The Booster formula was developed in cooperation with a European laboratory and is manufactured for professional cosmetic use.
X-treme Smile® Booster Gel has been notified as a cosmetic product in the European Cosmetic Products Notification Portal (CPNP).
