Jitske is the owner of X-treme Smile® and has more than 20 years of experience in professional teeth whitening and tooth gems. Through her training as a dental assistant, she developed extensive knowledge of teeth, oral care, hygiene and working carefully in and around the mouth.
To further deepen her knowledge, Jitske completed various specialised courses and training programmes in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States. In the United Kingdom, she obtained the **Tooth Whitening Technician** certificate and completed the **Sense and Non-Sense of Teeth Whitening** professional training course provided by Cavex. She has also attended training courses with various international brands and specialists in professional teeth whitening.
Jitske has been working with teeth whitening and tooth gems for more than 20 years. Throughout her professional practice, she has worked extensively with different whitening agents, ingredients and treatment methods. She has studied, among other things, the effects and differences between peroxide, PAP, sodium bicarbonate, sodium percarbonate and sodium perborate.
She keeps her knowledge up to date by studying scientific and biochemical research into teeth whitening, including in vivo studies. She also closely follows changes in laws and regulations and examines how manufacturers respond by adapting their product formulations, applications and working methods.
Since 2010, Jitske has trained professionals in professional teeth whitening and tooth gem application. She supports salons, tooth gem artists and other beauty professionals with treatment techniques, product use, hygiene, safety, client selection, expectation management and aftercare.
