You will learn not only how to perform a whitening treatment, but also how to assess whether a treatment is suitable, which products and materials are used, and when a treatment should be adjusted, postponed or not performed.

After completing the theory and practising the different treatment steps, you will perform a complete treatment on a model. This practical assignment is personally assessed by X-treme Smile®. After successfully completing both the theory and practical assessment, you will receive your X-treme Smile® certificate.

Who is this online course suitable for?

This standalone online course is particularly suitable for professionals who already work with X-treme Smile® products or who already have access to a comparable professional cosmetic teeth whitening system.

You therefore do not necessarily need to purchase a new starter kit if you already have suitable equipment and materials. Your existing system must, however, be complete enough to perform all practical treatment steps and assignments in the course correctly.

Learn how to assess the teeth before treatment

Not every client and not every set of teeth is suitable for a whitening treatment. That is why the course pays extensive attention to assessment before treatment.

You will learn which questions to ask during the client intake, what to look for when assessing the teeth and surrounding structures, and which factors may affect either the result or the safety of the treatment.

You will also learn how to take existing restorations such as composite, crowns, veneers and fillings into account. These materials respond differently to whitening than natural tooth structure and can therefore affect the final shade result.

The course is completed entirely online. You decide when to study the different modules and lessons, and you can revisit individual sections as often as necessary.

You do not need to complete the entire course in a single day. You can first study the theory, then practise the different treatment steps and return to specific lessons whenever you want to review something during your practical training.

From theory to practice

Online learning at X-treme Smile® does not mean that practical training is skipped. During the course, you perform various practical components using your own professional whitening equipment and materials.

The lessons are designed to connect theoretical knowledge directly with practical treatment procedures. This means you learn not only what to do, but also why each step is important.

Once you have practised sufficiently, you perform a complete whitening treatment on a model. You record this treatment according to the instructions in the course and submit your practical assignment for assessment.

Personal practical assessment

Your practical assignment is personally assessed by X-treme Smile®.

We assess aspects including:

Certificate after successful completion

After successfully completing the theory and practical assessment, you will receive your personal X-treme Smile® certificate.

The certificate confirms that you have completed the X-treme Smile® Online Teeth Whitening Course and successfully completed the associated theory and practical components.

Do you need any previous training?

No specific previous training is required to take this course. The training starts with the basics and builds the different subjects step by step.

You do, however, need the correct products and equipment to perform the practical components and complete the entire course.

The course is therefore suitable for beginners who have already purchased their professional equipment, as well as existing professionals who already perform teeth whitening treatments and want to expand their knowledge.

Using your own whitening products and equipment

No physical products or equipment are included with this standalone online course. You therefore use your own professional teeth whitening system during practice and for the practical assignment.

If you already work with X-treme Smile®, you can use your existing products and equipment during the course.

If you work with another professional system, this is also possible, provided that you have all products, materials and equipment required to perform the practical components of the course correctly.

If your existing system does not allow you to complete certain parts of the course, additional equipment or materials may be required before you can fully complete the training.

Training, certification and regulations

Completing a course and receiving a certificate does not automatically determine which teeth whitening products you are legally permitted to use professionally.

Which products may be used depends on factors including their composition, concentration and the laws and regulations applicable in the country where you work.

Can I purchase products or a whitening lamp later?

Yes. Professional whitening lamps, whitening products, treatment kits and other supplies can be purchased separately from X-treme Smile®. Complete online training packages including a starter kit and whitening lamp are also available.
