Can I take the teeth whitening course online?

Yes. The teeth whitening course is also available online. This is ideal if you are unable to travel to our training location in Joure, prefer to learn at your own pace, or are joining us from abroad.

The online course covers the same essential knowledge needed to work professionally with teeth whitening. You do not only learn which steps to follow, but also why each step is important.

What do you learn during the online course?

Topics include:

• tooth anatomy and structure;
• different types of tooth discolouration;
• the whitening process and how different active ingredients work;
• client consultation, medical history and client selection;
• contraindications and situations in which treatment may not be advisable;
• Pink and Booster and the differences between them;
• treatment protocols, sequence and application times;
• correct use and positioning of the whitening lamp;
• product and material knowledge;
• hygiene and safe working practices;
• sensitivity and common practical situations;
• aftercare and client communication;
• relevant laws and regulations.

Thanks to our dental background, we explain not only how to carry out the treatment, but also what happens during the whitening process and why certain choices matter.

We also assess the practical part

An online course does not mean that we only assess your theoretical knowledge.

We would like to see the practical parts of the treatment in a clear video clip, which we will assess.

We look at areas such as:

• professional interaction and communication with the client;
• preparation and hygienic working practices;
• the correct treatment sequence;
• correct use of products and materials;
• correct quantities, application times and treatment times;
• positioning and use of the whitening lamp;
• client communication;
• completion of the treatment and aftercare;
• your overall professional working method.

If certain parts can still be improved, you will receive feedback. This allows us to assess not only whether you have completed the theory, but also whether you can apply the techniques correctly in practice.

Learn at your own pace

One of the main advantages of the online course is that you can work through the training materials at your own pace and revisit sections whenever needed.

This also makes the course suitable for professionals who have already completed training elsewhere but want to deepen their theoretical knowledge or improve their practical working method.

Also available to international students

The online course can also be followed from outside the Netherlands.

Please note that laws, regulations and professional requirements for teeth whitening can differ from country to country. Different rules may apply regarding professional qualifications, permitted products and who is legally allowed to carry out the treatment.

Each student is personally responsible for checking the laws and professional requirements that apply in the country where they intend to offer the treatment.

X-treme Smile teaches you the professional knowledge, techniques, protocols, product knowledge, hygiene and working methods required for the treatment. Local legal requirements must always be checked separately by the student.

Even if you complete the course online, you can continue to contact X-treme Smile with professional questions that arise once you start working in practice.

You are therefore not simply following an online course. Afterwards, you can also rely on the dental knowledge and practical experience within our team.

After successfully completing both the theory and practical assessment, you will receive your X-treme Smile certificate.
